What is a Breathable Membrane?

Waterproof breathable membrane is a new type of waterproof and breathable material composed of spunbonded polypropylene composite polymers.

In terms of manufacturing processes, the technical requirements for our waterproof and breathable membrane are significantly higher than those for general waterproofing materials; at the same time, in terms of quality, it possesses functional characteristics not found in other waterproofing materials.

Its operating principle is based on microporous vapor permeability. Since the minimum diameter of a water droplet is approximately 20 micrometers, while the diameter of a water vapor molecule is only about 0.0004 micrometers, there is a significant difference in size between the two. Water vapor can pass through the microporous structure via diffusion, while liquid water or water droplets are prevented from entering due to surface tension, thereby achieving both waterproofing and vapor permeability.
